PK System
How much karma a PK gives
The karma of each PK grows with the total PKs the character already has: it starts at 10 and goes up by 5 with each PK.
| PK | Karma received |
|---|---|
| 1st PK | 10 |
| 2nd PK | 15 |
| 3rd PK | 20 |
| 4th PK | 25 |
| ... | +5 each |
| With 100 PKs | 510 |
How to clear karma
- Killing mobs: each mob killed clears 1. Mobs killed by your pet or summon also count.
- Dying: clears the karma of your last PK. If the last PK gave 25 karma, dying clears 25. It only counts when the death costs XP, so it does not count in a peace zone or a battle zone.
- Time: no longer clears anything.
- Karma Cleansing Scroll: clears 100 per use and costs 10 Skelth Coin in the L2 Store. It can only be used with karma and cannot be traded.
Examples
John made his 4th PK and got 25 karma. To clear it, he can:
- kill 25 mobs;
- die once;
- use 1 scroll (the extra is wasted, karma stops at 0).
Mary has 100 PKs and made one more: she got 510 karma. To clear it, she can:
- kill 510 mobs;
- use 6 scrolls (60 Skelth Coin);
- mix them, for example 3 scrolls and 210 mobs.
While you have karma
- You get the PK debuff, which gets stronger the more karma you have (5 levels).
- You can lose an equipped item when you die. The item goes to the Lost Items window, where you can recover it by paying.
Lost items
- Careful: when you die with PK, your items may drop into the Lost Items system.
- Item recovery is reduced for characters below level 80: the lower the level, the lower the recovery rate.
- When you recover a lost item, you can choose Adena or L-Coin to pay the recovery fee.
- The Lost Items window keeps up to 30 items. Above that, the oldest items are deleted, starting with the first one lost.

PK counter
PK scrolls (-1, -3, -5, -10) lower the PK counter, not the karma. With a lower counter, your next PK gives less karma.
